Manuscript Studio

Promotion

The Promotion Studio — AI store copy, 3D product shots, per-store listing fields with real character limits, and the downloadable promo kit.

Files do not sell books; listings do. The Promotion Studio writes the copy, renders the images, and checks both against each store's actual rules.

Open it from the bookshelf's room dialog or the header's book menu.

The pages

  1. Store copy — the AI-written blurb, description, keywords and categories, and what it deliberately will not write.
  2. Product shots — the canvas, the 360° book, backgrounds and output sizes.
  3. Listings — your copy laid into each store's fields, with live limits.
  4. The promo kit — everything selected, packaged as one download.

Four stages

① Copy · ② Artwork · ③ Listings · ④ Kit.

The studio opens on whichever stage still has work outstanding — the Copy form if nothing is written, the Artwork canvas otherwise. The order is the order the work actually runs in: listings lay out copy that exists, so copy comes first.

The through-line

The same honesty rule as the rest of the product, applied to marketing — which is where it is most tempting to break it.

  • There is no field for comp titles, review quotes, awards or bestseller claims. Not a discouraged field: no field. A field that does not exist cannot be filled with something invented, and inventing any of those is false advertising.
  • A BISAC category code that does not confidently match returns nothing, with a note to pick one in the store — because a wrong nine-character code looks exactly like a right one.
  • Store character limits carry their sources, and most are marked approximate, because most stores do not publish them reliably.
  • Copy over a limit is a warning, never a block, and nothing is ever silently truncated.

What it does not do

It does not publish. There is no store integration and no listing upload — you get text and images, and you paste and upload them yourself.
