Stage ② Artwork is a canvas with your real cover on it.

Poses

The device mockup letterboxes your cover rather than stretching it. A cover squashed to a device's aspect ratio is the giveaway of a fake mockup, and it is worth avoiding.

The 360° book

The 3D pose is a genuine six-faced volume, not a picture with a perspective filter: front board, back board, a creased three-part spine, and an inset page block with the boards overhanging it.

• Orbit it with the two-axis puck, which reads out the angle and names the panel you are facing.
• Camera presets: Front, three-quarter, Spine, Page edge, Back, Flat lay.
• Turn and tilt sliders for precise angles.

Every measurement comes from your book's real dimensions, so a 5×8 and a 7×10 grow genuinely different boards, and the spine thickness tracks your real page count.

Showing the back cover is a camera angle, not a separate setting — turn the book around and you are looking at the back.

Backgrounds

Eight presets, your own upload, or AI-generated for 2 credits.

AI backgrounds are steered away from text, because image models add invented lettering unprompted. Look at what came back before shipping it.

Transparent is available, and it turns off the backdrop effects — glow, vignette and grain. Those paint opaque pixels, which would fill in the very transparency a cut-out exists to provide.

Output sizes

Social sizes, store sizes, and the five Amazon A+ module sizes.

A+ plates are ordinary output sizes on the same canvas, not a separate subsystem. A plate is a shot, composed the same way, rendered the same way, and included in the same kit. They carry a small A+ tag in the shot list so you can tell them apart.

Shots are specifications, not images

A shot stores a pose, a background, a caption and a size — not a bitmap.

So any shot can be re-rendered at any size later, including after you change your cover. Your kit is never stale artwork; it is a recipe that re-runs.

Shots can be removed from the list. Removing the last one leaves a blank shot rather than an empty list.

What to watch for

• Shots are rendered by screenshot, not as PDFs. That is what makes the 3D, the blurs and the transparency work — a PDF path flattens all of it. There is no PDF option for a 3D shot, deliberately.
• The promo spine uses the same design page count as the shelf, so a promotional image of a book in progress looks like the book on your shelf.
• Uploaded backgrounds are re-encoded and capped, because they travel with the book. Use a reasonably sized image rather than a 20-megapixel photograph.
