The promo kit
Packaging your shots and copy into one download — what is in the archive, why it is a single request, and the readiness report before you commit.
Stage ④ Kit packages everything into one archive.
What is in it
- The product shots you selected, rendered at their target sizes.
- Text sheets of your store copy, ready to paste into store forms.
Text sheets are written to open cleanly in Notepad — that is where they get opened, and a file that renders as one unbroken line there is useless.
Readiness, before you commit
The Kit stage reports what it is about to produce before you press anything:
3 shots · store copy written · 2 fields over the Kobo limit
That is the point of it being a stage rather than a button. You find out that your Kobo description is over before you download an archive built around it, not after.
Why it is one request
Rendering N images as N separate downloads would trip the export rate limit part way through and leave you with an incomplete kit — plus a fresh browser launch for every one.
So the kit is one request, one browser, one archive. This is also why the per-shot download button was removed: it duplicated the kit without the kit's honesty about what you were getting.
Cost
Nothing. Rendering images and packaging text are exports, and exports are not metered on any plan.
Generating the copy and any AI backgrounds cost credits when you made them; the kit itself does not.
What to watch for
- Re-download after a cover change. Shots are specifications, so they re-render against your current cover — but the archive you downloaded last week is a snapshot of the old one.
- A+ plates ship as JPEG at 1× size, in line with Amazon's file-size limits for A+ modules.
- Filenames are sanitised, so a book title with punctuation in it still produces an archive that unzips cleanly on every platform.
